Matthew Grantham Wins Kitchen Designer Of The Year 2021!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our designer and director, Matthew Grantham, has won the KBSA’s prestigious Kitchen Designer of the Year Award 2021. 

As the UK’s most highly regarded governing body of independent kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailers, the KBSA’s Kitchen Designer of The Year Awards are a prominent event, recognising exceptional talent within the industry.

The judges emphasised the outstanding quality of all the entries this year; we certainly faced some tough competition. It is a real privilege and a testament to our long-standing expertise to have been chosen as winner of the up to £25k category. The judges highly commended our design for its ability to maximise a challenging space while cleverly answering our client’s brief. Our objective was to create a sleek and sophisticated family kitchen with a spacious seating area and ample storage – not easy with several full-length windows and an angled wall to contend with.

We addressed our client’s need for storage by crafting a bespoke corner pantry and building a seamless bank of cabinets against one wall. At one end, an elegant pocket door system hides an impressive cocktail bar.

A specially designed teardrop breakfast bar provides the perfect casual seating area, ideal for family meals, as well as evening entertaining. Ingeniously complementing the angles of the room, the breakfast bar impressively seats up to five people.

The gorgeous Dark Sherwood finish adds a luxurious, warm finish, which is accentuated by a perimeter of sleek downlights. The ceiling bulkhead lighting perfectly mirrors the layout below. This level of attention to detail elevates the space from the fantastic to the extraordinary.
